Twenty Twenty-two

on February 10, 2022

Dear Friend,

It is hard to believe that this century is already almost a quarter gone. I remember so very clearly celebrating the arrival of the year 2000—and it was only a blink ago.

The big news for January of 2022 is all about one sassy, savvy, sophisticated black cat named Trouble and his scribe, Susan Y. Tanner. His latest adventure, Trail of Trouble, #14 in the Trouble Cat Mysteries series, will be released on Monday. It is available for preorder right here: Trail of Trouble. (Paperback is also available!) A slippery and deceptive killer is on the loose and it’s up to Trouble to protect his biped friends, catch the killer, and give a nudge in the romance department. A twisty and fun read.  Don’t forget that you can request for your local library to have one for you to borrow– just give them the ISBN number which is: 978-1-7330169-2-6.  And if you want to support local independent bookstores, visit Bookshop.org and they’ll be able to help you.

To celebrate this latest addition to the growing legend of Trouble, we’re offering two short stories (one by Susan Y. Tanner and one by Trouble scribe Rebecca Barrett) for a special price of .99 cents. (*These stories were originally published in the Year-Round Trouble anthology). We wanted to kick the new year off to an exciting start. You can get the two short mysteries here: Trouble in the USA.

And Susan is offering her previous Trouble cat mystery A Whisper of Trouble (e-book) for only .99 cents for a limited time.  Grab your device and let’s redeem those bookstore giftcards that you received during the holiday season!

Lights! Camera! Action! My publisher discounted this e-book to $2.99 until the end of the month!

As Trouble would note about me, I’m another year older, but no wiser. I hope the new year blesses you with joy, celebration, and good health.

Next month Jitty will be back with her advice column and I’ll have more news about the Zinnia gang and other foolishness.

Ta-ta from Carolyn and the Critters!
