This morning while I was holding Flicker to soak her foot, I reached down into my pocket for my phone. Heck, I had 20 minutes to kill. Then I heard a bird song and I realized how much these devious little devices disconnect us from nature. The natural world is under assault and so many people never even look around at the wonders right in front of us. I spent my 20 minutes talking to my horses and dogs. Then walking back to the house, I found 3 miracles of nature. Better than gold or silver or scrolling on my phone.
